So if you can’t tell by now, if you’re not much into scenery, you’re not really going to enjoy my Australia blog posts. Because honestly, every place we go is so pictureque and I end up with hundreds of photos on my camera at the end of each day.
So about a week ago now (I am FINALLY starting to get caught up on all these Australia photos) we quickly visited Cape Schanck near sunset and it was AMAZING. Now, I have vaguely mentioned it before, but we have seriously been nonstop here in Aus. There are just so many places to go and visit, so we have been running full speed since landing. This day in particular, I was super tired, a tad hangry, and just all around grumpy. I also should add that riding around in the back of a little car on the windy roads here has not been great on my easily upset stomach.
Anyways, this evening Trevor and I were both a little nauseous and simply not in the mood for another scenic stop. We just wanted to get home and go to bed. However, Trev’s adventurous grandparents insisted on a short hike to this amazing lookout spot on our way home. And I am honestly so glad they did.
The Cape Schanck lighthouse^^
Gave me some serious Ireland flashbacks again!!
How amazing is this view! So worth the little hike.
I know that it’s hard to tell, but these amazing WHALES came by just as we were at the top! You can’t really see them, I know, but it was pretty cool to see!
Also couldn’t get over this bright blue water!
Since arriving in Australia, I feel like we have been nonstop. There is just so much to see and to do that the days feel hectic at times. But I am thankful for the place we are in — because it is absolutely amazing. And I know I am going to miss it.
So I guess today I learned that if you put your temporary grumpiness and laziness aside, you may be blessed by an amazing experience.
Until next time…
